Hoodie's Goodies Parasol.

A Hoodie's Goodies Parasol
Fabrics = Candy Dots (Brown) and Precious Garden (Green).
I ordered this parasol (using my fabrics) at the Tokyo Dome Quilt Festival.
My Japanese client came to NY for our business meeting and brought my parasol on Wednesday.

I use the parasol in Spring and Summer to avoid UV.
I can't wait holding this parasol and walking in NY city soon!

Please let me know if you are interesting Hoodie's Goodies Parasol!
This parasol might be available in Kit and finish product in future.
It is another one of kind!

I was in Tokyo from 20th to 24th. I attended at the Festival from 21st to 23rd. (Last three days)
It was beautiful days during my staying in Osaka and Tokyo. It was very lucky!!!!

Can you tell, it is big show?
I couldn't walk in the aisles because it was so crowded.
250,000 people are coming in nine days for the Festival every year even during the bad economy!
This is some kind of the show.
I saw many people from Europe and Australia.
This was the booth "Nakajima Inc. They sold my Apron Kit.
It was very successful business at the show. Great news!
Many stores will carry this kit!
This was best seller combination at the show.
Sold out! Thank you!
Cute stuffed animal was by the apron.
Two other combination sold well, too.
I got many requests from customers and I got many ideas as well.
I feel I have so many homework!

Hoodie's corner at The International Quilt Market in Houston.

When I arrived at the George R. Brown Convention Center 4:30 pm a day before the market. The Blank Quilting booth, the Garden was already beautifully set-up except one corner by the demonstration table.
Thank you for working the set-up booth to Mark, Diana, Kim, Sandy, Barbara and Marilyn! My two mannequins were waiting to wear my new aprons.
I brought all my animals and aprons in my big suitcase.
Can you tell how full in my suitcase? The problems were,
First - My aprons were wrinkled. So I borrowed an iron from my hotel room.
Second - The frames of birds were Styrofoam. They were destroyed when I opened my suitcase. It can't tell from pictures that is lucky part. However I can't use them for my Tokyo show anymore. This is bad part.
To the Shop owners - This frame idea is great to display fabrics at your store,
but don't carry around, especially don't put them in your suitcase!Everybody loved my Cuties (Stuffed Animals)
My cuties were so popular at the booth. I was carrying and showing my cuties, then I was explaining the combination of my fabric lines. I needed to show all my groups again to customers and they ordered many fabrics from my previous groups and new line "Cutie pie"
A Caterpillar, each body is just like big stuffed yo-yo and tie bias tapes (ribbons) between yo-yo cushions. They are like caterpillar legs.
You see combination of my fabric lines on a caterpillar.

Walking Quilt, Besides aprons!

My "Show and Tell" is held,
Time: 4:00 pm
Date: October 10th, Saturday
Place: Blank Quilting Booth #1912,14,16,2013,15,17
The International Quilt Market in Houston
I'm going to introduce my Besides Aprons "Fold it! Cut it! Sew it!".
These aprons will be at the Blank Quilting Booth and two mannequins will wear them.
I could call them "Walking Quilts" after I made patchworks on the base part of apron.
They became more attractive looking.
I enjoyed putting appliques on the apron.
It is getting little heavy for the apron but it is a great idea for the display at the store showing combination of fabrics.

Two Besides Half Aprons by Stacy.

StacySew did test sewing for my Besides Half and Full, both Aprons.
She followed my instructions and made all of the projects that were included. She was a great helper for fixing mistakes and finding unclear directions.

We are good friends since she bought my Reversible Apron Pattern and reviewed it on patternReview.com in 2007.

We have a great relationship even though we have never met.
Thank you for everything Stacy!

When she tested the sewing of my Half Apron, she used her leftover Morning Call Group Fabrics.

Patchwork idea of Besides Half apron!
I love it.
We checked the instructions, typing and spelling over and over.
We did all of the work needed, but I'd found little mistakes still leftover. I couldn't believe it!
My final copy of the sewing pattern was the toughest decision to make ever.

I love the process of creations.
Create designs for fabrics > Send them to printer > Check print sample on fabrics > Fixing Colors and combination > Proof >
Then I can get my fabrics a couple of months later.

I start to sew bags, aprons or something that are images in my head (ideas).
I sketch my ideas sometimes. I start making without sketches sometimes too.
I'm always excited when I find the style that I want or if there are better ideas than my first ideas.

Making sewing pattern's instructions is very intense work!
I prefer creating artwork or projects than making sewing patterns.

I do all work in sewing patterns - Illustrations, making products and taking photos of them, layout pages and all graphics work without anyone's help. So I get overwhelmed in the process of making my sewing patterns mostly.

"I won't do it again!" I say so when I'm making sewing instructions.

Whenever I get an idea of new style of project.

I start to think,

I have to make instructions.
It is very similar feeling of giving birth for baby.

I hope you can enjoy my babies!

Go! Go! Girl.

I wanted to post something about the Quilt Market show in Pittsburgh but I couldn't post any thing because my two computers had problems.
My laptop didn't turn on two days after the show. So I took it to the shop.
The next day, my main computer didn't start up.
Then we had Memorial day weekend.
The shop was waiting for the parts to replace, then he got wrong the parts.
Well....
I was stressed out for a while because of my delayed schedule.

So I did some other work instead of my computer work.
Reorganizing my closets for summer,
putting summer furniture at my backyard,
redecorating my bedroom,
and drawing many ideas for next my projects in my sketchbook.

I'm behind schedule but I realized
It is nice to do something not to using the computer.

My new patterns will be available in two weeks from now.

My new fabric groups
Spring Fever and Sparkling Paris

All of us wore my new aprons at Blank Quilting Booth.
